Those are really nice, but they need to be an inch or two smaller. Still looks functional though.

Smaller? Seriously? Have you seen one in person? They're tiny! And their proportions are just right.

I may be very biased though

Why not get yourself the best 20B available for the price of a midsized sedan?

Hey, it looks nice, but I personally would have something less "bling." Smaller wheels but fatter tires. Allows for more roll and better performance overall.

Well, not necessarily better peak performance, but definitely a better experience for a street car. I fear what tiny sidewall tires on lowered suspension does if you have to go over a bad set of rail road tracks.

Get 2 13b engines and hook them up on a custom crank/eccentric shaft and have a 4-rotor, LeMans style.

Well generally, if I got my understanding of tires is right(which it never is), then lower profile provide better handling, but they have less sidewall so they don't allow for much roll and acceleration is hampered. Plus one pothole can completely destroy your rim.

You're right about that, but I think usually the increased contact patch size under load ("squish" of the tires when weight shifts to the rear) can make up for the reduced roll by letting more power reach the ground, but that (also) is my very basic understanding. I should do some research into how a decreased sidewall height, but with decreased stiffness, affects traction at launch.

tbh, when you said 'those' I (mistakenly) thought you were referring to FD's in general, from the context it was not clear you were talking about the wheels. I agree with you on that part.

I personally have a bit bigger than stock wheels on both my cars, 16" on the 206, 18" on the Rx-7

While the tires end up pretty skinny there's still enough left to be street usable.

Were you referring to the wheels or the car itself?
